Flowers in Reflection

S/S residential bedding collection, Flowers In Reflection captures the lights and darks of flowers and plants, preserving the natural shape and texture that characterize the plant. Inspired by black and white flower photography, this bedding collection aims to bring the bedroom to quiet comfort surrounded by soft botanicals. Focusing on simplicity rather than extravagance, the collection finds comfort in quiet neutrals and layouts that align with the natural flow of the plant.

Botanical plants and flowers are hand drawn using mixed media including charcoal, wax stick, pastel and colored pencil, and watercolor dye that are digitized to recolor and develop into various layouts.

Bed 1: ‘Stream of Lilies’ is dedicated to calla lilies. The collection captures the graceful bell shape of the flowering plant and plays with creating positive and negative spaces in the layout. The bed flows in a vertical motion of lilies that immerse the bed with intricate details and soft textures. The collection uses neutral grays and tans with a hint of toned-down magenta and chartreuse to fill the bed with a soothing hue and subtle contrast.

Bed 2: ‘Enchanted Shadows’ envisions a perfect midsummer afternoon. Imagine, plants glistening under the sun, leaves swaying in the wind, shadows casting onto walls and floors. This collection captures that evanescence to create a calm, meditative space filled with sun-washed botanicals and soft shadows. This bedding collection uses warmer tones such as linen, tan, and taupe, with a hint of olive green and clay to create soft gradients in hue, blending one color to the next.
